Dr Ozmen graduated from UNSW in 2001 obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Science (Medicine) with first class honours. After successfully completing his training, Dr Ozmen was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2011.
Dr Ozmen acquired further sub-specialty experience through coveted fellowship positions in upper-GI surgery at St Vincent’s and St George public and private hospitals. Further to this, Dr Ozmen undertook a bariatric and minimally invasive surgery fellowship at the AZ Sint Jan Hospital in Bruges, Belgium in 2014 under the supervision of world famous bariatric surgeon Dr Bruno Dillemans.
Dr Ozmen is committed to providing a minimally invasive and advanced surgical approach to key hole surgery for hernia, gallbladder, general surgical, and weight
loss procedures.
Passionate about learning and development, Dr Ozmen has a keen academic interest in education, research, and advancing new surgical research which has led to numerous national and international conference presentations and publications particularly in the field of hernia surgery.
